3.5 stars but rounding up for good vibes. This place was a party! I've been here once before but it was in the winter so the rooftop was closed in. This time they had an open air setup, the music was blasting and they had a live dj and a photographer taking pics for social media. We had reservations fortunately since it was pretty busy. Even with all of the people though, I'd say the service was still fast. I believe they have a time limit on the tables for brunch. I thought the had some creative items on their menu. They're not really great at accommodations or substitutions though. I asked about doing egg whites for their omelette and they said no. Also, I wasn't able to substitute fries for toast (they said I had to order separately). I ended up getting the impossible tacos which come with ground impossible meat mixed with corn and mushrooms. I don't like corn and I asked if i could get my tacos without it. I thought that was a simple request but they said it's already pre mixed and they couldn't do it. I spent a lot of the brunch just picking out the pieces of corn. The others in my party also got tacos (vegetarian and impossible). I was with my friend who's vegetarian. There are some vegetarian options on the menu but not a whole lot of vegan options. The prices were reasonable. I thought the tortilla on the tacos was good. It tasted homemade. The impossible meat was fine, just OK. I might've liked it better without the corn. Aside from the tacos, I thought the restaurant was really fun. The dj had a good mix and was engaging. If I come back, I'll probably try something else. I know they make mean birria tacos from the last time I was here, so maybe it's just the impossible tacos that are just so so.

Food was pretty good! Music was good! They have a DJ for brunch on Saturdays. Great place to celebrate a bday, as the DJ and staff come out and celebrate you if you ask. My only concern was the sun. On a super hot sunny day, if they don't seat you in a good spot you will sweat and burn up from the sun. This happened to me. My seat was directly under the sun, I ended up having to move my seat closer to my friend to avoid getting sunburned. Wear SPF and dress cool to avoid this, if you end up in a sunny spot.

A really nice bar with a live dj. It has a great atmosphere with good music. I would recommend making reservations since it is a popular spot. I ordered the paella and it was delicious. They have a great menu and drinks selection.

There are a number of great things about Cantina Rooftop and some less than great things. From a drinks perspective, I tried the Coco Loco and the Pina Colada and didn't like either of them as they put their own spin on them that I didn't care for. I'm also not a margarita person, but my life loved hers. As for the food, the Chicken Tacos and Baja tacos were AMAZING. I would totally order these again. Something to avoid though is the chocolate lava cake. They make it into a skull as a fun gimmick, but the taste is lacking. Also be aware that they automatically add gratuity regardless of your party size. We had a good time though with the DJ keeping the party going.
